"Oh, Life's An Hourglass"

I felt like this Mindy Gledhill song was fitting for me. I keep meaning to put up some more pictures and videos on here, but I’ve been busy and, well, life’s an hour glass and the next thing I know it’s already November! So this will just be a random conglomeration of everything over the past few months. Even though I only have one big heading, I’ll try to think up titles for each individual post.

“When Marimba Rhythm Starts To Play, Dance With Me, Make Me Sway”

First off we have John’s dance competition from this morning. He and his partner Rachel did well, they made it through the third round.

“Tonight, Tonight, Tonight, We Raise The Dead”

I love Phantom Planet, and all their music seems pretty Halloween-y to me, that’s why I picked that song. Anyway, Halloween was fun but pretty uneventful this year. My roommates and I went to a dance Friday night…

We also ran into these two crazy guys...

and, like my parents, I happened to meet my one true love at this dance...

“Come Listen to A Prophet’s Voice and Hear the Savior Too”

Conference weekend was a lot of fun. Aaron and Terra got married, and Allie and I watched Sarah and Amber’s kids during the wedding. It was quite a feat to keep them from getting in the fountains!

I gave Ian his ninja mask that we got him at the 100 Yen store. He absolutely LOVED it! I don’t think he took it off all weekend!

I had to make a simulation of comets hitting the earth for my Astronomy class and Johnny helped me. It was pretty fun. And kind of a mess. But, I did get an A on the assignment =)

Cami and I had the opportunity to go to the Sunday Afternoon Session of Conference in the Conference Center, it was really fantastic. I love Conference so much.

“Oh, Girls Just Want To Have Fun!”

I’m the First Counselor in my Ward’s Relief Society Presidency. We decided to get some pictures to put on cards with all of our numbers for our girls. However, we didn’t want to do the traditional, nice Sunday Dress pictures with perfect hair, etc (not that there’s anything wrong with those). Anyway, here are some of my favorites from our shoot.

“There Were Never Such Devoted Sisters”

Cami and I decided to have a sister’s night, which, of course, involved face masks! I’ll be honest, I wanted us to use face masks purely because I thought it would be a good photo opportunity.

“The Stars Collide, Will You Stand By And Watch Them Fall?”

Towards the end of summer we drove out to Genola to watch the meteor shower. It was pretty impressive. Fun fact, a meteoroid is a small rock in inter-planetary space, whereas a meteor is a result of a meteoroid entering the atmosphere and burning up and a meteorite is a fragment of a meteoroid that survives the passage through the atmosphere and lands on earth. See, look at how much I’m learning here! (Ok, so what if I had to check my Astronomy flashcards to remember the difference? At least I know there’s a difference now, right?) We slept in the back of John’s truck. Ok, well John slept in the back of the Truck while Johhny, Allie and I stayed up talking. Shocker, hu?

“Hey Man, It’s Been Awhile, Do You Remember Me? When I Hit These Streets I Was 17”

After leaving Japan I spent about a week in Washington. It was nice to be back, but a little surreal. It felt familiar, but not necessarily like home anymore. Does that make sense? Still, it was fun to see old friends and well-known places.

And of course I couldn’t resist going on my walk to the Grave Yard at least once. Call it creepy if you must, but it’s one of my favorite places in Silverdale.

“See the sand in my grasp, From the first to the last, Every grain becomes a memory of the past”

So that is my past few months in a nutshell. I also got a job taking pictures, but I don't own any of the copyrights for those, plus it might be weird to put up pictures of other people's children. I'm not sure how much they'd love that. So Life is going well. It's busy, but that means I don't have any time to be bored, which I am a fan of. I am super excited that we are all going to be together for Christmas! Oh, super serious note, YEAR OF THE TIGER!!! People, right now it is only a bunch of my journal entries and short stories. This means our posterity is only going to know ME, and what I write about you. And since, I have the only stuff written down, it doesn't matter if it's COMPLETE fiction, in fifty years, it will be the TRUTH because there will be nothing to contend it. Just something to think about =)

I Put A Spell on You

So because Halloween was on a Sunday we celebrated it today. I went to a ward party, then to see grandma and grandpa. After that we went to dinner and a pizza buffet. Then trick or treating at another ward activity. Finally, with many failed attempts to find Hocus Pocus, we came home and watched it on TV. These are a couple of pictures that I took today.

Yo Ho A Pirates Life For Me

This is Harley & I waiting to ride the Monster Inc. It was fun and I enjoyed watching how excited Harley was

Wow I wonder what I will do with all this money.... Ho Oh A Pirates Life For Me

Oh No I was caught and held here in the cage of my crews remains.

We decided to take a swim.

I Miss Billy the Kid

I rode a trail through the neighbor's back yard
Shooting the bad guys through my handelbars
Known for my bravery both far and near
Being late for supper was my only fear

Dad may not have been home for Halloween, but he
got to dress up and play with a fun gun and a rocket launcher.

Hey Good Lookin

This is Harley wearing my sunglasses and repeating things that I saw. It was a flashback to when Sunnie was younger and it was a late night and she did something similar.

Every Morning Sarah will do a work-out video and Harley likes to work-out with her. This is her doing the jumping jacks and it was really cute. I couldn't help but take a video.

This is the first time that Alex and Harley ever went Bowling and it was so fun to watch them.

This is towards the end of bowling and Harley was entertaining herself really well. It was so cute to watch. She was really cute to pick up her bowling ball she would use all of her fingers and stick them in the holes to carry it. I only bet her by two points she is a good little bowler, but I am also off my game.

My Own Little Corner

In my own little corner in my own little world I can be whatever I want to be.The original paint has worn off but in each room there were this lights and they were wired for electricity and for gas. It had some really pretty wood work and was so amazing. It even had a full basement. I waited till the rest of the tour had finished then I asked to see the basement because I was a historian and they totally let me. How cool is that? I love that I am a historian, I would love to go explore old houses and such.

This is the front entrance and it has 8 different types of wood, It was built in the the late 1800's and was even wired for electricity.

These are a few flowers that I took pictures of when we were at the pumpkin patch. I thought of dad when I was taking them.

I really liked this red and yellow one, I got a few at a couple of different angles.

Then I just had to get the purple ones, I loved that a few where in bloom.

The red one was a great color and was really pretty in bloom

California by Hawk Nelson

This is the first beach we went to and this is a guard tower that was empty but it reminded me of Hawaii and I loved to feel the ocean breeze.
So I got Sunnie some beach water and then Harley dumped it all out, so when they went to the pirate park, I walked over to this beach to get some more beach for Sunnie.
This is Harley and I on the beach. She played in the water and I just walked around looking for things to collect off the beach. I found a mini sand dollar. It was really cool.
An ode to Sunnie and her feet pictures, This is right after the waves retreated, I love the way that it looks.
This is the first beach and a view from the a muesum/nature building. The ocean breeze calmed my soul and I loved the way that it kinda kissed my checks and whispered in my ears. I felt closer to Mom & Dad.
Look at me on the beach, I was really really happy to be on the beach. I loved feeling the waves rush against my legs and the sand in my toes
Me at the Pirate park, just taking pictures of me and I love the way that this one turned out, I feel really pretty and cute. I was imagining what it would be like to be a pirate on the seven seas and sailing with the ocean mist grazing my face.

This is the beach that I got Sunnie's beach from. The waves attacked me and I was wet for the rest of the day until I changed. It was fun but I forgot how funny it felt to have sand in my clothes and in between my toes.

It's All Because Two People Fall In Love

So I climbed up to the pictographs and I was really excited because I always wanted to climb to them. It was so cool to trace the drawings with my fingers.

This is a bone that I found on the top of one of the Indian forts. I think it was a deer bone but it kinda looked like an arm bone. I thought that I would leave it but take a picture anyways

This was a field of wild flowers and I thought that it was really cool. I wanted to stop and pick a bunch but it was hot outside and I didnt really want to get attacked again but the nats.

This was a flower in the middle of a stream. It had rows of where the water ran on either side and it looked so pretty.

This is a close up shot of the graphs
